I have always been interested in movement. Making my way in and out of different sports and learning different modalities of movement has been inspiring to me. With this inspiration I want to share what I have learned about health and wellness. I started practicing Pilates, Yoga and Gyrokinesis after a back injury. It helped me to become intelligent, mindful and intentional about movement. I want to share that with others.

With over 30 years as a physical education teacher, I have devoted my life to movement, wellness and the connection between mind, body, and spirit. As a certified 200-hour trauma-informed yoga instructor, I bring a deep respect for the roots of yoga, incorporating the 8 Limbs of Yoga into my practice and teachings. It is my joy to share this transformative practice with individuals and communities, creating spaces for healing, self-discovery, and balance. Through mindful movement and breath, I strive to empower others on their journey to greater well-being

In the 80s, I taught Aerobics wearing a neon leotard. Now, with comfortable clothes, bare feet, and a lifetime of mindfulness and joy through movement, I value safe and effective exercise. As a Certified Pilates Instructor and retired Science Teacher, I'm especially interested in the intentional teaching of mechanics to improve daily living. My hope is that through this safe space you experience wellness with empowerment and self care.

My curiosity toward yoga and Eastern thought began in my teen years, when I discovered books on Eastern medicine and mindful movement on my family bookshelf. Years later, I discovered yoga as a way to connect to my body and quiet my analytical mind. I believe that yoga is a way to reconnect to our truest selves and that together in practice, we can heal deep internal and external wounds.

Yoga has been my anchor through my hardest times, my place of healing, my reminder to breathe, and my glimmer of hope. Yoga met me in the dark, sat with me there, and gently led me back into the light.
Becoming a yoga teacher feels like coming full circle — like honoring every version of myself who found comfort on the mat when she needed it most. It feels surreal, humbling, and incredibly meaningful. It is a dream come true.
In my classes at Soul Spring Studio, expect classes that create a space of calm, compassion and connection while blending breath, movement, and inner awareness. I encourage students to honor their bodies, trust their intuition, and explore yoga as both a physical practice and a pathway to resilience and self-connection.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share the teachings that have supported me, and I look forward to guiding others on their own unique journeys.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I find breathwork, meditation, and movement has the power to continuously transform the body, mind, and spirit. I am a mom to two boys (age 5 and 9) and an ordained pastor in town at Marshall United Methodist Church. I enjoy teaching yoga locally at Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center and leading retreats.
