I have always been interested in movement. Making my way in and out of different sports and learning different modalities of movement has been inspiring to me. With this inspiration I want to share what I have learned about health and wellness. I started practicing Pilates, Yoga and Gyrokinesis after a back injury. It helped me to become intelligent, mindful and intentional about movement. I want to share that with others.

With over 30 years as a physical education teacher, I have devoted my life to movement, wellness and the connection between mind, body, and spirit. As a certified 200-hour trauma-informed yoga instructor, I bring a deep respect for the roots of yoga, incorporating the 8 Limbs of Yoga into my practice and teachings. It is my joy to share this transformative practice with individuals and communities, creating spaces for healing, self-discovery, and balance. Through mindful movement and breath, I strive to empower others on their journey to greater well-being

In the 80s, I taught Aerobics wearing a neon leotard. Now, with comfortable clothes, bare feet, and a lifetime of mindfulness and joy through movement, I value safe and effective exercise. As a Certified Pilates Instructor and retired Science Teacher, I'm especially interested in the intentional teaching of mechanics to improve daily living. My hope is that through this safe space you experience wellness with empowerment and self care.

Practicing yoga has allowed me to be present in my body, which has helped me feel more grounded, calm and clear-minded. After completing a trauma-informed 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2023, I chose to teach yoga in Marshall as a way to prioritize this practice in community. Simply by experiencing embodied movement together, I believe we amplify our power to heal and compassionately connect.

My curiosity toward yoga and Eastern thought began in my teen years, when I discovered books on Eastern medicine and mindful movement on my family bookshelf. Years later, I discovered yoga as a way to connect to my body and quiet my analytical mind. I believe that yoga is a way to reconnect to our truest selves and that together in practice, we can heal deep internal and external wounds.
